My Dear Soul Friends:

Do You Have An Amiable Personality?
If you were born with an "amiable personality" that means your inner nature is generally friendly, cordial, agreeable, sociable, likable and good-natured. These are fine qualities for a team leader, manager, executive, parent or spouse.

Often, the spiritual challenge for souls who incarnate with an amiable personality (from the Latin "persona" or "mask") is that they have ego defenses that are made out of a "bail of cotton" that is 6 feet tall and four foot square.

This wall of self-protection is a lot softer than those ego defenses that are hard and thick and are made out of brick or steel, but the "wall of cotton" will keep out love and intimacy just as effectively as a wall of brick or steel.

Spiritual relationships require one to be "open" (and at times even vulnerable) so the love and intimacy that you seek can enter. Keep repeating to your Self, "My cotton wall of safety that keeps out my pain, is also keeping out the love and emotional intimacy that I seek" until it sinks deep into your subconscious mind and motivates you to adjust your mastery behavior.

Spiritual relationships require us to be emotionally intimate with ourselves first, and our partners second, but what is emotionally intimacy?

Emotional intimacy at its basic core is... EMOTIONAL HONESTY.

Emotional honesty is the core of emotional intimacy because you can only be intimate with another to the degree that you are emotionally honest and intimate with your Self.

A life that is void of emotional intimacy is an empty shell that echoes vibrations of emotional loneliness and isolation. Until a person with "walls of cotton" is willing to be open and honest about what he thinks and feels his "cotton walls" will thwart him from being emotional intimate, which will make it nearly impossible to form consciously awakened, spiritual-based relationships.
