A huge number of bird cages are available for sale in different shapes and designs. It is important to decide which kind is best suitable for your pet bird. Bird cages are available in small, medium and large sizes. You shall have to pick one, depending upon the size of your pet and the place it shall require to move or fly around. Bird like parrot or a cuckoo will not be able to stay in a small sized cage. You shall need a large sized bird cage for them. At some places, you shall find different cages for each kind of bird viz. canary cages, parakeet cages, cockatoo cages, parrot cages, love bird cages, etc. which shall make things convenient for you.

Bird cage care is as important as buying the right bird cage. Make sure that your bird can spread both its wings freely inside the cage without touching the bars. This way, the bird will be safe and won’t be left with wrought feathers, both of which are extremely unpleasant for you and the bird.

Like birds, fishes are also a tricky set of pets. Aquariums and tanks are available in all shapes and sizes. The kind of tank you choose depends on the breed and size of the fish you own. Very huge fishes shall require a very huge tank whereas a moderate sized tank shall do for small sized fish. Tanks are incomplete without accessories. You will need a filter and a water heater to keep the water clean and at constant temperature, and also a pump to keep the water moving.

Some fishes require salty water to survive whereas others survive in fresh water. If you do not change the water as often as required or overstuff it with nutrients then green algae begin to grow in the tank. A little bit of which is OK, but too much of algae reflects poor fish tank care.

Birds and fishes are not easy to keep as pets. But if you take proper care of your bird cages and your fish tanks, it won’t be a difficult task.
